Brian’s passion was ignited back in 1978 when he was at SIU. He had envisioned a career in broadcasting and advertising, but that changed after he and Laura (his wife of 34 years) purchased a home to fix up. Thanks to the broker who helped them, Brian became fascinated with the entire process. In 1980 he decided to become a real estate agent – and he has never looked back.

In 1981 they sold their Illinois home and moved back to Brian’s childhood territory in Southern California. Settling in North San Diego County, Brian began building a reputation as the agent who finds a way to get things done.

The 80′s were an extremely challenging time to be a REALTOR® and even more challenging to begin a career in real estate. The country was in a recession, mortgage interest rates were in the 14 – 16% range, loan qualifications were rigid, and down payment requirements were high.

Success meant thinking outside the box and exploring non-traditional, alternative financing solutions. Before long Brian became an expert at “Alternative Financing and Purchasing.” He became adept at finding special loan programs and in setting up lease options and equity share agreements, as well as land trusts.

Always willing to share his expertise with other agents, Brian is often a featured speaker and trainer, conducting classes and seminars on a variety of subjects.

His attitude and willingness to assist has helped him create relationships within the real estate community that lead to cooperation and smooth transactions with cooperating Brokers. Because they respect and trust his professionalism, and because they know he will work diligently to overcome obstacles, other agents are eager to show his listings – and listing agents encourage sellers to strongly consider his buyers offer.

In the years since 1980 the real estate market has had its challenges. Each upswing and downturn has given Brian unique experience, and caused him to develop solutions and systems to help his clients in any market. Brian has never said “We can’t do that.” Instead, he says “How can we do that?” And then, no matter what his clients want or need, he sets out to find the right answer.

Sellers experience Brian’s unique, proven, cutting-edge systems to get them maximum dollar. Brian also believes “The Right Home Sells Itself” and his buyers are treated with zero sales pressure. Brian likens a real estate transaction to an airplane ride – you’re apt to run into turbulence. However, with Brian in the captain’s seat and his team as the flight crew, you’ll have the skill and experience on your side to avoid the turbulence and enjoy the ride. But knowledge, systems, and skills are not the most important reasons why clients enjoy working with him. The most important reason is trust.

Brian has dedicated his career to serving clients for life. As a result, most of his clients come to him by referral from friends, family, and happy past clients. They refer to him without reservation because they know they can trust him to give his honest opinion, even if it means “No sale.” They know they can trust him to protect his clients with a “win-win” or “no deal” way of negotiating, and to work tirelessly to solve any problems, while keeping the Golden Rule in mind.

On a personal note…

45 years ago Brian and Laura met in high school and fell in love, and they’ve been together ever since. In 1994 they made their home in the Temecula Valley and raised two incredible daughters who went on to graduate and earn Masters Degrees from California Universities.

When it’s time to relax, he enjoys spending time with his family and their Golden Retriever, and spending time in the great outdoors. Brian also has a significant interest in music and film. A professional drummer during his 20′s, Brian still pursues his passion for many types of music. You might catch him around town performing with a local band.
